- This year was the 77th celebration of the Golden Globes Awards, hosted by Ricky Gervais at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in California.
- Attendees will be given products from Armani, Tumi, Pop Socket, Balance CBD, and other brands in this near $10,000 gift bag containing nearly 30 different products.
The 77th Annual Golden Globe Awards commences tonight, and millions of viewers will watch the red-carpet roll out featuring their favorite actors, actresses, directors and more win for their efforts in television in film. While the host threw plenty of early shots and jabs at Hollywood's finest famous people and managed to tell the audience we are all going to die soon with no sequel in sight; one of the most enjoyable activities of the night for guests comes with the unveiling of their $9,000+ gift bags with dozens of exclusive ‘swag' contents provided by Secret Room Events.
All of these stars look forward to the indulgence and pampering that the gift bags offer. Of course the usual suspects of manicures, massages, personal care products, jewelry and botox treatments made the swag bag, but this year, the 2020 Golden Globes gift bag featured a CBD product from Balance. Balance CBD offers cannabis oil-infused products for the natural wellness sector with vegan and cruelty-free formulas. The brand's CBD Muscle Relief Cream is the sample provided and was said to be especially helpful for anyone that’s been on their feet during the event.
According to their official website, the 300MG CBD cream for muscle relief uses ‘potent amplified nanotechnology' to help absorb the cannabidiol beneath all seven layers of your skin and target aching muscles. The company does everyone a solid and post their product's certificate of analysis (COA) to verify independent third-party lab results as well.
CBD may have been one of the hottest trending topics in the past calendar year, but it was not the most expensive item found in the gift bag. That belonged to a week long Hawaiian vacation or visit the luxurious Estancia La Jolla Hotel and Spa for two nights (with massages).
To compliment CBD as a featured item in the 2020 Golden Globes gift bag, here were some other notables that made their way into this year's swag pack according to Forbes' Hayley:
- H2rOse rose water drinks
- Baroque & Rose organic skincare line
- Copper+Crane Spa products
- Nuvelon bluetooth speakers
- SunSoaker portable solar-powered chargers
- Silver Stork new parent care packages
- RXBar natural protein bars
- LELO adult entertainment toys
- Nancy Ganz Body Shapewear
- Livie & Luca children's shoes
- San Clemente Cookie Dough Co
The market data for 2019 showed CBD became the most popular selling herbal extract ingredient last year, and again finding its way into the mainstream media's presence by making it into over 1,200 giftbags going out to all the stars in attendance.
According to a recent press release, in the bag, recipients will also find androgynous beauty products from Pat McGrath, as well as the Si Passione Eau de Parfum by Armani, Lavassa coffee beans, and the Living Proof Triple Detox shampoo. Brands with products in this year’s bags also include Pop Socket, Beboe, and Tumi. Essentially, this event is an opportunity for many luxury brands to treat celebrities to exclusive (and often expensive) products. In exchange for nearly $10,000 in gifts, companies hope the social media influencer recognition effect will help drive brand awareness and user adoption.
To celebrate the prominent positioning of the CBD muscle relief cream by Balance in the Golden Globes swag bag, the company is giving away a full year supply of CBD to one winner who participates in the #goldenselfie by taking a selfie picture of you striking a red-carpet pose. This story is certainly interesting and may be a good indication of the follow-up year the hemp-derived cannabis oil extract is going to have in 2020.
